POSCA CAMPAIGN

Social Media Campaign

With this hypothetical advertising campaign, I took an existing paint marker brand called POSCA and spun a new perspective on what an easily accessible arts & crafts material can do. I was inspired by the wave of social activism going around at the time, and took a positive approach by emphasizing the community-building aspect of standing up for what you believe in.

The photo series features these paint markers “painted” in a new light, inviting friends and family to work together on social change (and to have fun while doing it).

#sayitwithPOSCA

is the unnofficial tagline for the campaign, which encourages the use of POSCA markers to spread a message for social change.

Another day, another project in my basement...

As another project assigned during the pandemic, I took some of these photos in my basement. The “cork board” in the “nose” photo is really just a piece of thin cardboard taped to a wall, and my 5 year old brother makes his debut as a model for the other post in the series.

I had to make do with what I had for this project, which meant borrowed equipment, hometown friends as models, and a cleared-off section of my brother’s play area. All things considered, I think it came out pretty good :)
